What to Pack in a Nappy Bag

A well stocked nappy bag means you are armed and prepared for anything that could go wrong (and probably will) when you are out and about.

A lot of what you pack depends on the age of your child and their individual needs however no matter the age there are some stock standard items that will remain an essential for many years.

One handy hint is to always restock when you return home to ensure those quick trips out never end badly.

With so much to pack in one bag, it is important to find a nappy bag that is big and roomy enough to hold everything without weighing you down.  Not only that, it must be designed so you can get to everything nice and quickly without rummaging around for what seems like forever.  The last thing you want is to be hanging on to a spewy baby while you scrounge around frantically in the bottom of an overloaded bag looking for a cloth.

There are some truly amazing nappy bags out there that are thoughtfully designed to carry all the things a mum needs, and have them easily accessible.  Thankfully these days we have moved away from the ugly dreaded nappy bag to gorgeous statement bags full of style and function that last well beyond the nappy years.

Backpacks are very popular at the moment as they enable you to free up both arms to wrangle everything else. The Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown Backpack is one of our biggest sellers with its luxe faux leather outer and gold hardware with a generous drawstring bag, heaps of compartments and insulated side bottle pockets

If you’re looking for luxury then look no further than Storksak for their stunning range of gorgeous baby bags.  Storksak’s extensive collection combines stylish, elegant designs, practical features and quality detailing in both leather and non-leather fabrics which continue to set the standard that parents have come to trust.  I especially adore their leather range that soften over time and age so beautifully.  Check out the award winning Noa leather nappy bag that includes a separate matching handy Mini Organiser bag, featuring five pockets and a large zipped main internal compartment.  My personal favourite is the stunning Storksak Sofia nappy bag with its sumptuous, luxurious finish. It works so well as a baby bag with all its clever pockets, but also works perfectly as a great bag that you will use well beyond the baby years.

Now my kids are a little bit older, my Petunia Picklebottom is still my go to bag for heading out as they stand the test of time, look great, and still house all the things kids still need like nappy wipes, tissues, snacks, sunscreen, hats, spare clothes and so much more.
